Sto-Shield Mesh AES provides an innovative solution to the problem of electro-smog - electrical and magnetic fields and high frequency electromagnetic waves emitted from high-voltage power lines, radio and television transmitters, phone masts and radar.
Research has shown that electromagnetic fields can influence human biological processes and the nervous system. While the effects of long-term exposure are not yet known, taking precautions to limit that exposure is a sensible step forward.
Sto-Shield Mesh AES is embedded into facade renders while still wet, providing additional tensile strength to the facade. The mesh acts as a conductor, providing protection from over 99% of high frequency electromagnetic radiation (6MHz-10GHz) and over 99% of low frequency electronic alternating fields. Earthing is via a copper cable which should be connected to the starter track or special contact plate (render only) with stainless steel screws (no self-tapping screws) and installed by a qualified electrician. |
