| Ventilated rainscreen cladding facade insulation system |
|
A seamless, ventilated insulation system based on rainscreen technology, ideal for problematic substrates, e.g. with damp penetration, extreme unevenness, severe cracking or old coatings which are not suitable for the application of subsequent coatings.
The adjustable sub-construction allows for bridging of up to 320mm, and provides a ventilated cavity that ensures the wall remains dry and breathes. A design service helps to ensure the sub-construction matches the building type and loading conditions.
The special quality mineral fibre insulation provides high thermal performance, fire protection and water repellancy, and can even provide a reduction of sound through the wall.
The unique StoVentec Carrier Board is made of expanded glass granulates and reinforced on both sides with a glass fibre mesh for superior impact resistance.
In most circumstances the system only needs to mirror the movement joints in the building construction. When combined with Sto's through-colored, cement-free renders, the system ensures a seamless facade in a choice of over 800 colours from the StoColor System, and is ideal for black and other dark-coloured finishes.
