| Performance guaranteed for Sto systems |
 |
Sto has teamed up with QANW Services Ltd. to provide a unique 10-year* latent defects or insolvency insurance guarantee for StoRend and StoTherm systems, providing peace of mind for Sto customers.
Sto offers crack resistant, through-coloured render systems of unparalleled quality and durability.
For more information on QANW Services Ltd. please visit www.qanw.co.uk.
What are the benefits?
For specifiers: The peace of mind that comes with a 10-year* insurance-backed warranty on an exterior finish. Specifiers are assured of a reliable finish in the colour and texture that meets their aesthetic requirements.
For Developers: Added value - properties using Sto renders backed with this insurance scheme are worth more, off-setting the initial cost of the render and giving the developer an extra USP in the eyes of the purchaser. In addition, the scheme integrates with the NHBC and Zurich Insurance Guarantee schemes.
For the End User: Prospective clients can buy with the assurance that the exterior of their building is guaranteed to perform reliably for at least 10 years.* In addition, the warranty may be transferred from owner to owner, representing a benefit for house purchasers.
For Main Contractors: The quality control mechanisms and insurance that comprise the schemes minimise the potential for liability for this part of the external works.
* Please note that crack resistance cover is subject to system specified. Cover from 5-10 years is available on selected systems. All systems are covered for adhesion, weathering and colourfastness for a 10-year period.
How is cover arranged?
Initially the contract should be drawn up to require the provision of the scheme. The client (or their agent) will be provided with the relevant QANW brochure which invites direct contact if further information or a quotation is required. Sto registered installers will have application forms which they will complete on behalf of the client and submit together with the inspection fee, if applicable. QANW will then invoice the provisional premium.
What does it cost?
The proven reliability of Sto systems is reflected in the premiums for the guarantee schemes. The exact cost will vary according to the project, but represents on average 2.15% of the cost of the Sto element of the works and access costs. |
