Sto at Ecobuild 2012 (Update)

Visit Sto at the Ecobuild 2012 exhibition, at the ExCel, London on Tuesday 20th to Thursday 22nd March! We can be found in the North Hall at stand N610 (between gates 2 & 3).

Once again Ecobuild has been jam-packed! As soon as the gates opened our stand was inundated with visitors seeking advice and information on their sustainable projects. It's great to know you're all as passionate about sustainable architecture as we are!

We've had some great feedback and the positive comments relating to our approach are really appreciated. StoSolar with the Polar Bear Effect and our insulated, glass rainscreen systems have been particular highlights this year. Our product demonstrations have also been very popular – there's nothing like hitting things with hammers to wake up a crowd!

If anybody is intending to visit us either today or tomorrow, we're really easy to find. Stand N610, North Hall. Enter gates N1, 2 or 3 immediately on your left and look for the yellow buckets.

Sto stands for high quality and manufacturing excellence, but we will also be highlighting our impressive sustainable credentials. For example, did you know:

• Sto was the first international manufacturer of external wall insulation systems back in the 1960s? We have saved over 150 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (and counting) from the atmosphere through energy conservation!
• Sto was the first company to remove VOCs and other harmful additives from our water-based paints?
• The river used to remove our waste materials from our main manufacturing plant is so pure that it's safe to drink?

This is our first outing to EcoBuild and we are all excited about the event! EcoBuild has an excellent reputation and is now one of the most popular and influential events within the construction industry.

A sustainable approach to architecture is very close to our hearts and ties in with our motto, "Building with conscience". Not only are our systems high quality, they are designed with a sustainable future in mind. Many of our facade systems radically improve a building's energy efficiency. Some of the benefits include:

• Buildings are far more efficient and cost effective to run. They require less energy to heat, reducing carbon emissions and improving our energy security.
• Interior climates are more comfortable and uniform, improving productivity and sense of wellbeing.
• All of our products and systems are designed to have minimal impact on the environment.

We will let you know what we have been working on and revealing some technologies we're investigating for the future. We're confident that we will have plenty to show you that you won't find on any other stand.
