StoSilent Cool
Unique to the market, StoSilent Cool ingeniously combines sound absorption with climate control. StoSilent Cool is an energy-efficient climatic ceiling system that allows the room to be heated or cooled. With it, you can provide a comfortable temperature all year round. The system is equipped with an integral capillary tubing grid that can be connected to any water supply.
As a seamless acoustic system, StoSilent Cool also boasts exceptional acoustic performance and a wide range of design options. Uninterrupted, seamless expanses of up to 150m² become a real design possibility.
StoSilent Cool has been designed to meet the design standard EN ISO 7730.
Climate control
StoSilent Cool chilled ceilings feature a capillary tubing grid integrated into the acoustic board. The system is connected to a water supply and the temperature can be raised or lowered with a thermostat.
Through a combination of radiation and convection, StoSilent Cool provides a comfortable, draught-free interior climate all year round.
Cool savings
StoSilent Cool provides huge savings in space, energy and maintenance when compared to traditional air conditioning and chilled beam systems.
Energy savings
Compared to variable volume air conditioning systems, chilled ceilings such as StoSilent Cool save around 20-30% on energy use and associated costs. This can rise up to a 70% saving when used in combination with natural ventilation.
Space savings
As chilled ceilings use no air, the chilling unit is smaller than a conventional air conditioning unit. This can save between 15-25 cm per storey in the ceiling void alone, ideal for medical establishments where space is restricted and cannot accommodate typical air conditioning systems.
Maintenance
StoSilent Cool features no moving parts, and the components and circuit have been designed to prevent rust and limescale build-up. Maintenance costs for the StoSilent Cool system are just 50% that of a standard air conditioning system.
A seamless finish
The system is finished in StoSilent Superfine or StoSilent Top acoustically transparent plaster, available in a natural white or tintable to a range of 380 colours.
